About Fornya Soaps:
Fornya Premium Handmade Soaps are part of a growing resurgence in the production of handmade soaps and are made in the superior “old traditional method” referred to as “cold processed”. The cold process method takes the most time, but is undoubtedly the best method for producing the truest, highest quality soaps. This process maintains the highest levels of natural skin nourishment essences of each ingredient.
Factors (overlooked by many) in perfecting a superior handmade soap is the importance of high quality ingredients, plus the proper selection of different oils. The luxurious feel from using Fornya Premium Handmade Soap is a result of careful selection of the oils used in the “superfatting” process. Superfatting refers to increasing the percentage oil vs. the percentage of alkali (lye) in a soap recipe. A small amount of extra “free” oil in the soap adds extra moisturizing qualities to the soap. Superfatting with specific oils affects the feel and qualities of the soap by allowing the oil properties to be expressed in the soap. The combination and formula of oils in the soap determine the difference in how hard or soft the soap bar ends up being and how well it lathers.
Fornya superfatted 5oz Premium Handmade Soaps retain all of the original natural glycerin and are hand poured in small batches into old fashion wooden molds.

There are basically three soap products on the market, regular soap, fake natural soap ( melt & pour) and natural soap. Although we refer to them as soaps, regular soap is really a form of detergent. Products identified as detergents contain ingredients such as petroleum by-products. Regular soap is created using mass produced manufacturing methods. The ingredients often include: DEA, Glycerin, Isopropyl Alcohol, BHT, Triclosan, Aluminum, Formaldehyde, Butyl, Ethyl, Methyl, Propyl Parabens, Phthalates, Toluene plus the list continues for antibacterial soaps, liquid hand soap and shower gels. What is important to recognize is that most commercially produced bars contain synthetic lathering agents, artificial colors and a bunch of chemicals we can’t even pronounce.
In particular, Triclosan is a toxic chemical that is known to cause cancer. According to the National Coalition Against the Misuse of Pesticides (NCAMP), manufactures of a number of triclosan-containing products claim that the active ingredient continues to work for as long as 12 hours after use. Consumers are therefore exposed to triclosan for much longer than the 20 seconds it takes to wash their hands or face. Phthalates are linked to reproductive disorders in humans and animals, and parabens, a preservative is linked to cancer.
Next time you go shopping, go down the soap aisle check and see for yourself. Most companies do not even list the ingredients.
