Most all of the EdenPURE Models that use the 500 Watt Sylvania bulb require three elements. A few smaller models may only take two. For most GEN 4 based models such as the 4428, US 1000, GEN 8, Kenmore, ect the telltale sign that the bulbs need replaced is that the unit is blowing cold air. Usually the power and temperature lights will be lit and the fan will only be blowing cold air or just lukewarm heat and never turn off. The bulbs can be accessed by first unplugging the unit. Then take off the back panel of the heater. Behind the back panel is usually a metal plate. Disengage the plate and the backs of the 500 Watt bulbs will be visible.
