Shipped fast plug on fan did not match had to splice old one on to make it work

The item had been, by looks of it, dropped. It had a break in the insulation on one of the wire leads and a bit of plastic was missing. Once i repaired the wire the product worked fine. It can only time and was packed properly. The damage looked as though it happened before being packed and shipped.
